Dear Friend,

Soon after we met, my husband Rob and I started our small, organic vegetable farm in northeastern Connecticut. We planted half and acre of asparagus on former pasture land and slowly expanded every year.

We use no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, instinctively knowing that the health of the soil and water is a priority. We compost, mulch, hoe, weed, and pick off foraging bugs. From the micro-organisms in our soil, to the honey bees and butterflies pollinating, to the Purple Martins swooping for insects – all contribute to our organic practices.

Working together, we are enhancing our tiny piece of Earth, and that’s a beautiful thing.

Directions

Annie’s Way In 9 Minutes

Boil: 6 cups water in a medium saucepan.
Stir In: pasta, bring to boil. Cook 7-9 minutes, or until done, stirring occasionally.
Drain Pasta: in colander. While pasta is draining…
Add: ½ cup non-dairy milk to the warm saucepan. (OPTIONAL: Add 2 tbsp buttery spread for richer flavor)
Sprinkle: seasoning over non-dairy milk; stir to combine. Let thicken.
Add: cooked pasta back to saucepan and stir well. Enjoy!
