Artisan Tropic is a family adventure fueled by our family’s passion for healthy living.

We love to eat healthy. Why? In 2011, our youngest daughter was very sick, but after making some drastic dietary changes her body began to heal. This experience taught us the importance of whole food nutrition and made us passionate about eating healthy. Our desire is to share our family’s healthy adventure with you!

What is a Plantain?

Plantains are members of the banana family. They are similar in appearance but are more dense and less sweet.
Plantains grow naturally in tropical climates.
Plantains must be cooked but can be prepared at any stage of ripeness.
Because we crisp our Sweet Plantain Strips to perfection when they are ripe, browning may occur. This is normal, and is what makes them naturally sweet without having to add any sugar.
