Being able to enjoy food, and sharing it with family and friends, has always been central to my life.

When the ultimate taste tester, my non-celiac brother, first tried my bread he said, “What’s the big deal? It tastes like bread.” Exactly! As a celiac, type 1 diabetic, and trained chef, I live and breathe the philosophy that safe, allergen-free products can and should taste great.

Our customers are like family to us and we take your health and safety very seriously. We blend all our products in-house in an allergen-free, controlled environment, using only allergen-free certified ingredients. Our facility is USDA and Kosher Certified. To ensure quality and safety, we regularly submit our mixes to lab testing. When we say a product is “free from,” we mean it.

We work closely with, and are proud to support the Celiac Disease Foundation, the Celiac Sprue Association, the Gluten Intolerance Group, The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center, and the Center for Celiac Research, among others.

Directions

Ingredients

1 package Pie Crust Mix
¼ cup of milk or favorite non-dairy drink, including water
¾ cup of oil
½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (optional)

It’s easy

Place dry mix in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients, blend until well combined. Dough will be slightly oily.

Press half of the dough into a 9″ baking dish. Use remaining dough to make top crust.

For top crust, place remaining dough between two pieces of waxed paper on a cutting board. Roll out and place in freezer for 20-30 minutes.

After chilling, remove top sheet of waxed paper and place dough on top of pie filling. Seal edges. Bake according to your filling recipe.

Tips and variations

• This pie crust is perfect for sweet or savory recipes such as quiche, pot pies or even cookies.

• Store your mix in a cool dry place and it will stay fresh for two years!

Other Ingredients: Tapioca starch, arrowroot, millet flour, powdered honey, potato starch, chia flour, chickpea flour, navy bean flour, pinto bean flour, xanthan gum, sea salt, cream of tartar, baking soda.

Nutrition matters!
We use a blend of three different bean flours for added protein and fiber (all pre-soaked for easy digestion). The chia flour is also a rich source of protein, fiber and omega-3s. Do not use refined sugars.
