We consider Red Quinoa (Keen-wah) to be White Quinoa’s “prettier sister”. Mild and nutty, its distinctive scarlet hue gives it plate appeal to match it nutritional value. First cultivated in the high mountain plans of South America over 5,000 years ago, Red Quinoa is a great source of fiber and protein- containing all eight essential amino acids. You can use red quinoa in place of rice in almost any recipe. Adding quinoa to your favorite soup or salad is a great gluten-free boost of protein and fiber. This Ancient Grain is ready in minutes and is delicious hot or cold, as a side dish or a meal unto itself.

How To Cook:
Rinse Red Quinoa under cold water before cooking. Add 2 cups of water to a saucepan and bring to a vigorous boil. Add 1 cup of Red Quinoa, cover with a lid, and bring to a low-medium heat. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes or until all of the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and serve. Enjoy!
