Barrier Twist has been tested and certified by the Water Quality Association according to NSF/ANSI 42 for the reduction of chlorine, taste & odor; NSF/ANSI 53 for the reduction of cadmium, copper & mercury and for the reduction of pentavalent arsenic (when used with the anti-Arsenic cartridge); NSF/ANSI 372 for Drinking Water System Components – Low Lead Content. 

 

Multi-stage purification

BARRIER filter cartridges provide up to nine levels of protection from water pollution, depending on the type of cartridge. Each cartridge provides standard treatment of chlorine, organochlorines and other common contaminants of tap water. In addition, different types of cartridges provide improved treatment of hard water, removal of dissolved iron, arsenic and water purification from bacteria. BARRIER filters were the first were the first in Russia to receive certification of compliance with the NSF/ANSI 42 exceeding the results of leading European manufacturers by far.

1. High quality coconut activated carbon coupled with our Unique Silver Impregnated Carbon Technology (USICT) filters aesthetic chloride and reduces bad taste and odor. the activated carbon is treated with silver to reduce the possibility of bacterial reproduction within the filter cartridge.
2. High-efficient ion-exchange resin removes heavy metals such as copper, mercury and cadmium and decreases water hardness.
3. Unique cartridge design allows a steady flow of water and ensures the water being filtered comes in contact with all the filter media within the filter cartridge. This guarantees that the highest quality of water filtration is achieved and maintained.

BARRIER pitchers and filters have been tested and certified according to NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 standards and NSF/ANSI 372 for Drinking Water System Components – Low Lead Content and have been issued the Water Quality Association’s Gold Seal certification. This system conforms to NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 (see performance data sheet) for the specific performance claims s verified and substantiated by test data.
