Mildly sweet and earthy, Black Turtle Beans are a wonderful canvas for bold spices & assertive flavors. They’re exceptionally good for you, too, rich in protein, fiber, iron, potassium and B vitamins.

Directions

Sort & rinse. Cover with water and soak overnight. Drain. Bring 2 cups water and 1 cup beans to a boil, reduce and simmer 1-1½ hours, or until tender. Drain and serve.

Suggested Uses:

• An excellent base for veggie burgers and chilis.

• Add beans to salsas, salads, soups & casseroles.

• Mash & add to brownies for a gooey texture.
